Trogir, a small historic town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is situated in the heart of Central Dalmatia, 27 km north of Split and only several kilometers from Split airport. The town's medieval core is surrounded by walls and comprises a preserved castle with a tower and a series of dwellings and palaces from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods. Trogir's grandest building is the church of St. Lawrence, whose main west portal is a masterpiece by Radovan, and the most significant work of the Romanesque-Gothic style in the country.

Our chosen property in Trogir, Villa Sikaa, is a small, family-run hotel. It is situated on the coast of Ciovo island, overlooking the old town of Trogir on the other side of the bridge - the town itself lies on a small islet that is nestled between the
mainland and the bigger island. The hotel building is a converted medieval house and has eight double bedrooms and two residential suites, each with satellite tv, air-conditioning, bathroom, phone, Internet connection and mini-bar. Most of the rooms have a view of the sea and the old town.
